Improving Cyber Skills of Media Representatives in Kherson


On July 11-12 a training workshop was held in Kherson, Ukraine as part of an ongoing effort to improve the media representatives’ cyber hygiene and strengthen their skills to deal with disinformation.

The participants were provided an overview of practical skills and useful tips on how to conduct fact-checking and protect themselves and their editorial office from cyber-crime. They also gained insight into the logic behind hostile information attacks, disinformation and media manipulations, sensitivity to propaganda, and hybrid warfare.

The training was organised by ECEAP in cooperation with Ukraine Crisis Media Center and with input from Hybrid Warfare Analytical GroupCivil Network OPORA and Stopfake who all have extensive experience in the field. The training is part of an ongoing effort financed by the European Union on countering elections related cyber threats and disinformation campaigns in Ukraine.
