ECEAP held opening seminars at the end of May in Palanca, Hincesti and Selemet in the framework of the „Applying Estonian reform experiences to empower local governments in Moldova“ project.
Over forty representatives of local governments and civil society organisations attended the three seminars. The main aim of the project is to increase the capability and efficiency of local governments, and to enhance their cooperation with the local population.
Ando Kiviberg, former mayor of Viljandi, and Tarmo Loodus, former mayor of Viljandi and former Interior Minister of Estonia, presented the Estonian experience during reforms.
Project „Implementing democratic governance based on European Union values and principles of transparency: Applying Estonian reform experiences to empower local governments in Moldova“ is funded by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from the development cooperation and humanitarian aid resources.
