The 4th Eastern Partnership Business Forum, entitled Digital Economy: Innovative Platform for Transparent Borderless Business, organized by the Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership and Enterprise Estonia, took place in Tallinn on October 26-28. The EaP Business Forum is one of the most important events of the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union dedicated to business and economy, and is part of the preparations for the Eastern Partnership Summit scheduled to be held in Brussels on November 24, 2017.

More than 500 entrepreneurs and decision-makers from EU and Eastern Partnership countries spent three days in Estonia taking part in the conference and B2B meetings to build business relations and find opportunities for cooperation. In addition, visits to leading innovative companies in Tallinn as well as Ida-Viru and Tartu Counties were organized in order to demonstrate Estonian best practices to delegates.

The objective of the Eastern Partnership Business Forum is to develop transparent cross-border business relations and cooperation among the EU member states and the Eastern Partnership countries, with an emphasis on small and medium-sized enterprises.

The Business Forum was opened by the President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid together with European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn.
