The Danube University Krems, Department for E-Governance, and the Tallinn University of Technology, Ragnar Nurkse Department of Innovation and Governance, will be hosting the EU’s Eastern Partnership eDemocracy Conference on ‘Politics in the Digital Age’ under the auspices of the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU. The Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership is proud to be an official Conference Partner.

The eDemocracy Conference brings together participants from EaP Partner Countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) and EU Member States to discuss how eDemocracy can enhance participation, inclusion, transparency and accountability. This event allows experts from academia, governments, think-tanks and civil society to discuss ideas, opportunities as well as address the challenges of eDemocracy: participation, inclusion, transparency and accountability.

There will be 3 thematic panels, each preceded by a keynote:

  • Panel 1 ‘Political Communication in the Digital Sphere: media manipulation, influence on third countries, populism on platforms, and campaigning’
  • Panel 2 ‘Digital Transparency for Accountability’
  • Panel 3 ‘Inclusion: Stakeholder Involvement in the Political Sphere’

If you are an expert from academia, a practitioner from public administration, the private sector, think-thank or a civil society organisation, and would be interested in participating, then click here for further details and registration: https://www.eap-events.eu/edemocracy. Please note that registration has been extended until October 01!
